Biography

*Set Butler program record for single round relative to par (five-under 67) Sept. 17, 2024 in the final round of the Brittany Kelly Classic.
*Posted a four-under 66 in the second round of the 2023 Butler Fall Invitational, which is the first 66 in program history (came on a par-70 course).


AS A SENIOR (2024-25 SEASON): Played in all 12 tournaments for the Bulldogs, totaling 34 rounds...her scoring average of 76.24 was third on the team...had three rounds below par on the season...finished the season by tying for 11th at the 2025 BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship (230; +14)...finished fourth at the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational (154; +10)...had a total of six Top 10 finishes during the season...her five-under 67 in the final round of the Brittany Kelly Classic set a program record for a single round relative to par.

AS A JUNIOR (2023-24 SEASON): One of only three Bulldogs to play all 33 rounds during the season...posted a scoring average of 78.0...tied for fourth at the Butler Fall Invitational, posting a score of five-over 215 for the 54-hole event...her best round of the season was a four-under 66 in the second round of the Butler Fall Invitational on Butler's home Highland course (par 70)...her other round in red numbers during the season was a one-under 71 in the second-round of the season-opening Redbird Invitational...tied for 26th at the 2024 BIG EAST Championship (246; +30).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2022-23 SEASON): One of two Bulldogs to play in all 11 of Butler's events...played a total of 31 rounds...her scoring average of 78.4 was third on the team...her best finish of the season came at the 2022 Butler Fall Invitational, tying for 17th in the 93-player field (232, +22)...also tied for 20th at both the Colonel Classic and the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational in the spring portion of the schedule...her best round was an even-par 72 in the opening round of the Colonel Classic April 3 in Richmond, Ky...finished 26th at the BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship at 252 (+36). 

AS A FRESHMAN (2021-22 SEASON): Played in all 12 of Butler's events on the season, totaling 32 rounds...had three Top-20 finishes...posted a scoring average of 80.19...finished in a tie for 22nd at the BIG EAST Championship at 235 (+19)...tied for 16th at the Butler Fall Invitational with a 54-hole total of 224 (+14)...there were 83 players in the field...tied for 17th in both the Dayton Fall Invitational and the Don Benbow Invitational...had two rounds of even-par during the season, a 72 at the season-opening Redbird Fall Invitational and a 70 in the opening round of the Butler Fall Invitational.

PRIOR TO BUTLER: In addition to playing four seasons of golf, she also earned four varsity basketball letters (scoring more than 1,000 career points) and one soccer letter. She finished sixth individually at the 2018 Illinois High School 1A State Tournament, leading Central Catholic to the team championship. It was the school's first state team championship. Her first three seasons each included All-State honors for her performances at the state tournament, finishing fourth, sixth and eighth, respectively. Her 2020 season, which was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, included a 74.0 scoring average for Steinman. She earned all-conference, all-region and all-sectional honors in each of her high school seasons. Steinman also competed in Illinois Junior Golf Association, Mid-America Junior Golf Tour, and American Junior Golf Tour events.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Steve and Missy...has one brother, Jack.
