Biography

2016-17 Senior Season: In singles play, went 2-2 during the fall and went 0-1 at No. 6 singles...posted a 6-2 doubles record...the Bulldogs won the 2017 BIG EAST Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament...coach Parker Ross inserted Woldmoe into the line-up for the NCAA Tournament match at Ohio State, where he played at No. 3 doubles with Ari Gerstein.

2015-16 Junior Season: Posted a 7-11 overall record in singles competition... Ended the year with a 7-12 mark in doubles play... Won four single matches at No. 4 in the lineup... Won a majority of his double matches while playing alongside Ari Gerstein... Notched his first win of the year at SIUE 6-2, 6-3... Held off Theo Baudin of Northwestern Ohio 7-5, 4-6, 6-3... Posted back-to-back victories with wins at Cleveland State and Toledo... Made it four wins over five matches with additional victories over Rose-Hulman and Case Western Reserve... Won a conference match 6-2, 6-3 against Paul John on DePaul... Came out on top with a 6-2 doubles win at SIUE... Won a pair with a 7-5 victory vs. Northwestern Ohio followed by a 6-3 win at home vs. Indianapolis... Notched a 7-5 win at Toledo to spark a four-match winning streak... Additional wins came against Rose-Hulman, Case Western Reserve and IUPUI.

2014-15 - Sophomore Season: Posted a 14-10 overall record in singles competition... Ended the year 9-7 in dual play and 5-3 in early season fall tournament action... Led the team with four single wins vs. BIG EAST opponents to end the season 4-1 overall against league foes... Played primarily at No. 6 singles going 5-2 at that spot... Finished up at 3-1 when playing at No. 5 and 1-4 when playing at No. 4... Ended the year on a hot streak going 7-2 over his final 10 single matches with one unfinished... Held one of the best double records on the team at 19-5... Posted a perfect 7-0 record in early season fall tournaments and a 12-5 mark in dual play... Went .500 in BIG EAST action with a 3-3 record... Primarily played at No. 3 doubles with his brother Austin Woldmoe... Notched a 2-1 record at No. 2 doubles... Started singles competition by winning two of three at the River Forest Invite... Defeated opponents from Youngstown State (6-3, 6-3) and Xavier (7-6, 6-3)... Posted two more wins at the Purdue Fall Invite by knocking off opponents from Cleveland State (6-3, 6-1) and Green Bay (6-1, 6-2)... Ended the fall season by going 1-1 at the Louisville Invite... Defeated Tyler Edlin of Morehead State 6-2, 6-1 in the round of 32... First win of the dual season came at No. 6 (6-0, 6-1) against The Citadel... Posted six-straight wins during the final stages of the regular season... Defeated Villanova (6-4, 3-6, 6-4), Marquette (7-5, 6-4), Ball State (6-1, 6-2), Eastern Kentucky (6-1, 6-4), IUPUI (6-4, 1-6, 6-4), and Creighton (6-2, 6-1)... One win came at No. 4, two at No. 5 and three at No. 6... Final singles win of the year came against Matt Phelps of Villanova (6-4, 5-7, 6-2)... Played doubles with Tommy Marx at the River Forest Invite... Posted three wins against competition from Western Michigan, UIC and Belmont... Played with his brother during the Louisville Invite... Won four-straight with Austin by defeating teams from Northwestern Ohio, Purdue, and DePaul... Started the dual doubles season on a hot streak by winning seven-straight... Defeated teams from Dayton, nationally-ranked Ohio State, DePaul, Toledo, The Citadel, Indianapolis and Northern Illinois... Grabbed a win over the spring break trip with a 6-2 victory over Central Florida at No. 3... Posted four-straight wins near the end of the year with Austin Woldmoe as a partner... The duo defeated Ball State 6-3, Morehead State 8-5, Creighton 8-2 and Xavier 8-6.

2013-14 - Freshman Season: Posted a 9-5 overall record in singles competition... 5-2 in dual play and 4-3 in early tournament formats... All dual action was played at the No. 6 spot in the lineup... Came up with three wins in his first three matches during tournament play... Defeated players from IUPUI, Iowa and Cleveland State... Final tournament victory was recorded over Jonathan Raa of IPFW 6-3, 6-3... Successful 5-2 run in dual play started with a loss at nationally-ranked Ohio State... Followed up with five-straight wins claiming victories over Youngstown State, Dayton, Indianapolis, ASA and IUPUI... Successful doubles player that ended the year with a 13-9 record, including an even 6-6 mark in dual play with a 7-3 tournament record... Went 5-3 in dual No. 3 doubles and 1-3 at No. 2... Tournament got off to a good start with three-straight wins over players from schools such as Belmont, UIC and Valparaiso... After a single loss, was able to rattle off two more wins over IPFW and IUPUI... Final two tournament wins came over Morehead State and Dayton... Dual matches had the Woldmoe brothers sharing the court early before Alex teamed with Marx to end the season... Defeated Youngstown State 6-1 with his brother Austin... Found more success playing with Marx at No. 3 doubles by defeating IUPUI, DePaul, DePauw, Creighton and Villanova.

High School: Earned four varsity letters in tennis at Hamilton Southeastern High School... Two-time team captain that was a First Team All-Conference selection during all four years of high school... Became the only athlete in Hamilton Southeastern history to be recognized as a First Team All-State selection four consecutive years... Held a USTA Junior ranking of 75 in the country and 10th in the Midwest... Helped his team win four conference championships, three sectional titles and one regional championship.

Personal: Son of Mark Woldmoe and Jennifer Cazier... Has two siblings; Austin Woldmoe and Addison Cazier... Majoring in Business.
