2021 – Senior Season: Played in 36 games, making 26 starts… Held a .213 batting average with 20 hits in 94 at-bats… Scored 13 runs… Hit seven doubles, helping him record 15 RBI… Ended the year with 27 total bases… Walked 18 times and was hit by a pitch twice to raise his on-base percentage to .342… Posted a .287 slugging percentage… Stole one base on one attempt… Held a .986 fielding percentage with 196 put-outs to go along with 10 assists… Went 2-for-5 with a double, four RBI and two runs scored at Evansville (3/20)… Hit two doubles vs. Ball State to record two RBIs (4/2)… Connected on an RBI double at Seton Hall (4/10)… Went 2-for-4 in the first game of the Villanova series with a double and an RBI (4/23)… Went on a four-game hitting streak from March 19-23… Reached base in eight-straight games… Four multi-hit games ranked sixth on the team... 2020 – Junior Season: Played in 12 games, making 11 starts… Held a .152 batting average with five hits in 33 at-bats… Scored seven runs… Recorded one RBI and five total bases… Walked 11 times and was hit by pitch once to raise his on-base percentage to .370… Credited with one sacrifice fly… Stole one base… Perfect in the field with 81 put-outs and five assists… Started at first base in the season opener vs. North Carolina A&T (2/14)… Collected his first hit of the season in that game while also scoring a run… Walked twice, stole a base, and scored two runs vs. George Mason (2/15)… Posted a hit in back-to-back games vs. Western Illinois and UCF… Lone RBI of the year was a sac fly at Evansville (3/1)… Walked three times vs. Saint Francis (3/3).

2019 – Sophomore Season: Limited to 18 games due to injury… Made 16 starts… Opened the season at first base against Rider on Feb. 15… Last appearance came at home vs. Creighton (April 12)… Hit .302 for BU with 16 total hits… Ended the year with four doubles and one home run to help record 12 RBI… Scored nine runs… Walked 11 times to raise his on-base percentage to .424… Stole two bases… Held a .981 fielding percentage and a .434 slugging percentage… Top performance came against Purdue Fort Wayne on March 10… Went 3-for-4 from the plate with three RBI and two runs scored… First extra-base hit was a double vs. Rider (Feb. 16)… Went 2-for-4 with two RBI vs. Pittsburgh (March 2)… Hit a home run at North Alabama (March 12).

2018 – Freshman Season: Played in 30 games, making 16 starts… Held a .206 batting average… Posted 13 hits on 63 at-bats… Scored 10 runs… Recorded four RBI… Ended the season with 14 total bases… Walked 19 times… Posted a .393 on-base percentage… Went error-free with 99 put-outs and six assists defensively… Hit .211 in BIG EAST action… Came up with four hits and two runs scored over eight games… Scored a run in his BU debut vs. Lehigh (Feb. 16)… First RBI of the season came vs. George Mason (Feb. 24)… Scored two runs in the victory over St. Peter’s (March 4)… First multi-hit game came at home vs. Ball State (March 14)… Led Butler to victory over Morehead State with a pinch-hit single to left field (April 11)… The clutch at-bat came with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning…The two-RBI single broke a 2-2 tie and moved Butler to 20 wins on the year… Went 2-for-5 at Villanova (April 15)… Lone extra base hit of the season came at IU-Kokomo (April 24)… Recorded two hits in back-to-back games vs. Eastern Michigan and St. John’s… Final two-hit game came vs. Seton Hall in the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament (May 24).

High School: Earned four varsity letters in baseball at Fishers under the guidance of head coach Matthew Cherry... Helped his team win a conference and section championship in 2017... Posted a 78-49 record... Played club ball for the Indiana Bulls.

Personal: Son of John and Rae Bennett... Has three siblings; Michael, Brandon and Ross... Plans to major in finance.

Why I Chose Butler: I chose Butler because I like the small school setting and staying in Indianapolis allows my parents to come watch me play.
