Butler University Athletics

Dick excelled in basketball for Coach Hinkle. As captain and point guard of the 1962 Bulldogs, Dick led Butler to its first NCAA appearance, defeating Bowling Green, 56-55, before losing to No. 3 Kentucky, 81-60. In 1961, Dick was medalist for the Butler golf team. In 1983, Dick was named to the Silver Anniversary team of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
