Butler University Athletics

Jill Taylor Goeglein was equally comfortable in the classroom and on the volleyball court. She became the first volleyball player in Butler history to be named to the Academic All-America team, and she received the Midwestern Collegiate Conference (now Horizon League) Coleman Medal of Honor for leadership and outstanding achievement in academics and athletics in 1989. A two-time all-conference player and Butler MVP, she was named conference Player of the Year in 1988. Jill completed her career as Butler's all-time leader in service aces.
