Butler University Athletics

Class of 1930: Hildebrand played basketball and baseball. He was a member of Butler's 1929 National Collegiate Basketball Championship team and was captain of the 1930 squad. He went on to a career as a baseball pitcher with the Cleveland Indians and was starting pitcher for the world champion New York Yankees in the 1939 World Series.
