Cleon Reynolds
While at Butler, Reynolds earned three varsity letters in football and two more in basketball. He moved forward to have a successful high school coaching career, winning over 500 games. Thirteen of those seasons were at Shortridge High School, and he led the Cathedral program for five seasons. The 1977 Marion County Coach of the Year was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 1989. He was also named to the Hall of Fame Silver Anniversary Team in 1975. In 1963, Marian hired Reynolds as head coach of the men's basketball program and the college's first athletic director, helping to expand the varsity programs.
