Tara Loper
Loper set school records at Butler in the discus, hammer and weight throw from 1995-2000 as a member of the women's track and field program. She was honored as the Midwestern Collegiate Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships Most Outstanding Performer in both 1998 and 2000; she was also named Team MVP in both of those seasons. The three-time All-MCC selection (1998, 1999, 2000) was also a three-time team captain at Butler. After her time on campus, Loper competed in the 2001-04 USA Track & Field Indoor and Outdoor Track Championships, where she earned a total of seven top-15 finishes, including a fifth-place effort in the weight throw at the 2003 Indoor Championships. She competed in the hammer throw at the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials.
