Special Service Award
Hind was the first coach of Butler's men's lacrosse team, arriving on campus in 1991 to build the program from scratch. He coached the program for its first seven seasons, beginning in 1993. In those seven seasons, he led Butler to a 59-42 record and two Great Western Lacrosse League (GWLL) titles. Â He was named 1998 USIL National Coach of the Year while leading the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tournament. In total, he was selected GWLL Coach of the Year three times. He handed off leadership of the program in 1999, beginning a career in athletics administration. He served in various leadership roles within Butler's Athletics Department until 2007 when he became Director of Athletics at his alma mater, Hamilton College.
