2025 – Junior Season: Led the team with 19 appearances… Pitched 29.2 innings… Struck out 18 batters… Went 1-2 on the mound with a 7.58 ERA… Walked 18 batters… Allowed 25 earned runs off 48 hits… Threw a season-high 82 pitches at Lindenwood (3/7)… Credited with the win vs. St. John’s (5/15)… Threw three full innings vs. the Red Storm, striking out three… Had three strikeouts over 2.1 innings of action vs. NIU (3/28)… Didn’t allow a hit or a run over 1.2 innings at Northwestern (4/29)… Struck out two in 1.1 innings at Bowling Green (5/7)… Limited UConn to just one hit over 1.2 innings (5/11).

Before Butler: Played at Bluefield State University and Patrick and Henry Community College… Struck out 89 batters over 72.2 innings at BSU… Held a 3.84 ERA with a 1.36 WHIP… Ended the year going 8-3 on the mound… HBCU World Series Champs at BSU… Struck out 19 batters in 19.2 innings at PHCC… Posted a 3.20 ERA… Made the Dean’s List at PHCC and the President’s List at BSU.

High School: Three-year starter for head coach Drew Cox… Tabbed all-district as a sophomore… Also played basketball and football.

Personal: Son of Doug and Elizabeth Kanipe… Has a sibling named Max… Intends to major in economics.
