2019 – Sophomore Season: Made 11 appearances, making one start… 0-0 record on the mound… 6.14 ERA… Struck out 14 batters in 14.1 innings… Walked seven batters… 10 earned runs came off 17 hits… Made his season debut vs. Rider (Feb. 15)… Struck out at least one batter in each of his first three appearances… Only start came at Toledo (May 8)… Struck out two Rockets over two innings… Struck out a season-high three batters at Ball State (April 9)… Longest outing came at Eastern Illinois (May 14)… Struck out three batters over 3.2 innings of work.

2018 – Freshman Season: Made eight appearances out of the bullpen… Posted a 1-0 record… Held a 4.66 ERA… Threw 9.2 innings… Struck out five batters… Walked eight… Allowed five earned runs off 14 total hits… Got two outs in his debut vs. St. Peter’s (March 4)… Struck out two batters at Indiana (March 30)… Earned the win on the mound after throwing two full innings vs. Miami Ohio (April 25)… Struck out one batter in two full frames vs. Indiana State at Victory Field (May 1)… Struck out two batters in his final appearance vs. Toledo (May 9).

High School: Earned two varsity letters in baseball at Neuqua Valley under the direction of head coach Robin Renner... Helped his team post a 35-2-1 overall record during his senior year... Named Dupage Valley All-Conference as a senior... Named all-conference honorable mention after his junior year... Ended his senior season with a 4-0 record on the mound and a 1.40 ERA... Notched five wins during his junior year, highlighted by a no-hitter against Wheaton North... Played club ball for the 29ers... Two-time academic all-conference selection.

Personal: Son of Steve and Patty Waeghe... Has three older brothers; Blake, Alex and Steven... Plans to major in finance.

Why I Chose Butler: I chose Butler because of the outstanding academics, the baseball program and the overall atmosphere here in Indianapolis.
