The Bulldogs hit .256 as a team in 2017 and tripled their home run total from the year prior. BU hits 35 homers, highlighted by Tyler Houston's 12. BU ended the 2016 campaign with just 11 total home runs.

BU improved in multiple areas including slugging percentage, on-base percentage and overall RBIs. The changes helped BU end the 2017 campaign with 31 wins.

Pascoe worked as the Director of Scouting (Michigan) for Prep Baseball Report before arriving at Butler. Before that he was the assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator at his alma mater, the University of Evansville.

Upon completing his eligibility in 2010, Pascoe remained with the Aces as a volunteer assistant under head coach Wes Carroll before being promoted to assistant coach in the summer of 2012. In his first season as a volunteer assistant, the team went 28-25 and had their first All-American selection since 2002 in utility player Cody Fick.

After being promoted to a full-time assistant following the 2012 season, Pascoe took over as the program's hitting coach and recruiting coordinator and helped the team improve in several offensive categories including batting average, on-base percentage, home runs and runs scored in his first year at the position.

The 2014 season proved to be a special one for Pascoe and the Aces. With the help of the Aces' offense, the team finished the year with a record of 34-21, winning their first regular season Missouri Valley Conference Championship since 2006. The team hit for a .283 average, slugged 103 doubles and scored 330 runs en route to the most productive offensive season during Pascoe's tenure.

In his final season as a coach at the University of Evansville, Pascoe helped All-American Kevin Kaczmarski become the program's first Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year. Kaczmarski finished his senior year leading the nation in batting average (.465) and triples (9) and was second in on-base percentage (.543) and slugging percentage (.746).

During Pascoe's five-year stint at Evansville, the Purple Aces posted an overall record of 147-131, won one regular season conference title (2014) and amassed seven MLB draft picks, four All-Americans, one conference player of the year and 22 all-conference selections.

A four-year letter winner, Pascoe played in 151 games for the University of Evansville between 2007 and 2010. During his playing career Pascoe was a designated hitter, catcher and infielder. As a junior he was a Second Team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection at DH, leading the Aces in hitting with a .331 average.
