Chris Cleary

Chris Cleary enters his third season as an assistant coach on the Butler baseball coaching staff. His responsibilities include coaching the infielders and assisting with the hitters. During the 2015 campaign, Butler set a school record by posting a program best .970 fielding percentage.

Before arriving at Butler, Cleary was an assistant coach at Menlo College in Atherton, California. Before being promoted to pitching coach in September 2013, Cleary worked as the outfield coach during the 2012-2013 season. In his first season at Menlo, the program reached the Cascade Conference Championship game and broke the school record in wins (34). Cleary also helped them reach a top-five national ranking in fielding percentage (.970). During his stint at Menlo, Cleary coached two MLB draftees, five All-Cascade Conference players, an NAIA All-American, and conference player of the year.

Cleary graduated from Menlo College with a degree in Sports Management in 2012. He was part of the program's first ever regional appearance and Cascade Conference Championship.
