Pre-Butler: Played two seasons at ParklandJunior College in Illinois, helping the school to the 2009 juniorcollege national championship...ranked fourth on Parkland'sall-time career list with a .403 batting average...collectedfirst-team all-conference honors at Parkland...hit .352 with anddrove in 34 runs during 2009 season...batted .459 with 12 home runsand 58 RBIs as a freshman in 2008...named all-conference four timesat Crete-Monee High School...voted team MVP after batting .436 withseven homers and 26 RBIs as a senior...elected SICA South Player ofthe year twice...honored by Prep Baseball Report and Chicagonewspapers as a top Illinois prospect.
