2011 - Redshirt Season: Sat out 2011 season after transferring from Eastern Michigan.

At Eastern Michigan: Spent three seasons at EMU, redshirting the 2010 season...had a 3-8 record in 31 appearances...played on 2008 Eastern Michigan team that won MAC Tournament championship and played in NCAA regional...recorded a 2-5 record in nine starts as a sophomore…tallied 34 strikeouts in 56 innings pitched with a 8.04 ERA…picked up wins against Northern Illinois and Toledo...posted a 1-3 record in 12 appearances and three starts on the mound as a freshman…totaled 17 strikeouts in 21 innings.

High School: A three-time all-area and all-conference selection...two-time All-Ohio selection...pitched three career no-hitters...posted an 8-2 record with a 1.19 ERA in 62 innings pitched with 88 strikeouts during senior season...batted .465 with three home runs, 14 doubles and 31 RBIs...pitched in state championship game during senior year, recording six strikeouts in six shutout innings of work.

Personal: Born Feb. 15, 1989...son of Donald and Shirley Goldschmidt...has two brothers, Ryan and Mitchell...communication studies major.
