2016 - Freshman Season: Posted a 2-4 overall record that included a 4.02 ERA... Made 26 appearances out of the bullpen... Led the team with three saves... Tossed 31.1 innings... Struck out 16 batters while walking only 14... Struck out two batters in his season debut at Samford (Feb. 20)... Struck out a season-high three batters while picking up his first win of the year in a two-inning outing vs. Northwestern (March 5)... First save of the season came in his next appearance by tossing one inning vs. Boston College (March 7)... Second save of the year came in a 4-1 win over IPFW (March 16)... Followed that effort with his third save of the year at Saint Louis (March 19)... Didn't allow a hit or an earned run over his final three appearances of the season.

High School: Played under the direction of head coach Rick Zepek... Coming off a First Team All-League season and was also tabbed Team Offensive MVP as a junior.

"Zach comes from a solid high school program and threw some quality innings for one of the highest rated travel ball teams in Southern California," Farley mentioned. "We are very excited about Zach's potential on the mound for us and he could be an immediate contributor."
