Brenda Jamerson

Jamerson joined Butler University in June of 2018 as the new head cheerleading coach. Jamerson joined the Bulldogs after working as the Ball State co-head cheerleading coach since 2014.

At Ball State, Jamerson was responsible for coordinating the cheerleading team at football, men's and women's basketball, and women's volleyball. She handled scheduling and public relations events for the squad, as well as coordinating with the band and dance team for pre-game and timeout performances.

Jamerson has served as the Pendleton Heights High School varsity cheerleading coach since 2002 and will continue to do so while at Butler. At Pendleton Heights, Jamerson is in charge of tryouts, game coordination and choreography, as well as organizing the Central Indiana Cheer Championships.

Jamerson was named the Indiana High School Coach of the Year and has received multiple Hoosier Heritage Conference Coach of the Year awards during her time at Pendleton Heights. The PHHS cheer team has earned multiple state championships and national titles under her direction.

The Germantown, Tenn. native was an NCA national champion cheerleader at the University of Memphis from 1980-83 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1984.
