Background:  Track and cross country standout at Grayslake High School...placed runner-up in the 1600 meter run at the 2011 Illinois 2A State Outdoor Championship...finished runner-up in the 1600 meter run at the 2012 Illinois 2A State Indoor Championship...runner-up in the mile at the 2012 Arcadia Invitational...ranked sevent in the nation in the mile in 2012.
