PRIOR TO BUTLER: A three-year varsity letterman… Member of the Woodlands High School Texas 6A State Championship team… Posted a long jump mark of 6.49m… A triple jump mark of 13.11m… clocked a 11.25 100-meter and a 23.10 200-meter dash… Was a 3x academic letterman.

PERSONAL: Son of Tina and DuJuan McCoy… Has two brothers, Bradley and Patrick.
