Roddreka Rogers

Roddreka Rogers joined the Butler women's basketball coaching staff before the start of the 2020-21 season. Rodgers spent the previous two seasons coaching at South Carolina State. Before moving to the sideline, Rogers was a three-year starter at Georgia Tech that also played professionally in Poland.
 
"I want to welcome Roddreka to Butler University, and to our women's basketball program," Godlevske stated. "Roddreka is coming to us with a great reputation as a person, player, and coach. She's student-athlete oriented, has infectious energy, and is a tremendous worker. We are fortunate to have her."
 
Rogers is set to join Butler as an interim assistant basketball coach. Before arriving at BU, Rogers worked with South Carolina State head coach Audra Smith, helping the Bulldogs compete in the MEAC.
 
As a student-athlete, Rogers competed in the ACC for Georgia Tech. A 6-0 forward, Rogers capped off her collegiate career by averaging 10.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game as a senior. She led the Jackets with 254 rebounds and ranked second on the team with seven double-doubles.
 
Before attending Georgia Tech, Rogers played two years of high school basketball at Xavier College Prep in Phoenix, Ariz., and one year at Myers Park in Charlotte, N.C. In her senior season at Myers Park, Rogers captained the team and led them to a 31-1 record. She was named 2012 Southwestern 4A Player of the Year by the Charlotte Observer and was selected to the 2012 First Team All-State by the North Carolina Basketball Coaches' Association.
 
The daughter of Tisa and Rodney Rogers, Roddreka was born in Denver, Colo. and has two younger siblings; Rydeiah and Tripple. Her father was a 12-year NBA vet that played college ball at Wake Forest.
