PRIOR TO BUTLER: Owen-Kren was Second-Team All-Region, All-GCC, All-GCC Academic, and attacker of the year during her high school career. 
 
ON CHOOSING BUTLER: "I chose Butler for the campus life and academics as well as the competitive conference play."
 
PERSONAL: Owen-Kren is the daughter of Kelli Owen-Kren and Michael Kren and has one sibling, Josie.
