Biography

2025 season (as a senior): Appeared and started in all 14 games…tied for a team-high 13 caused turnovers…finished second on the team with 23 ground balls…picked up a season-high four ground balls against UC Davis (4/6)...forced three caused turnovers against Xavier (4/26).

2024 season (as a junior): Started all 16 games for the Bulldogs on the defensive side...tied for fourth on the team with 9 caused turnovers...picked up 11 ground balls...notched a pair of draw controls.

2023 season (as a sophomore): Appeared in six games with one start...picked up five ground balls and caused two turnovers.

2022 season (as a freshman): Appeared in seven games for the Bulldogs... Recorded two goals, scoring her first collegiate goal against Detroit Mercy (March 6) and her second against St. Ambrose (April 5)... Recorded two ground balls and three draw controls. 

PRIOR TO BUTLER: Hensley was named Second-Team All-Conference following her freshman and sophomore seasons at Ladue Horton Watkins, producing 32 goals and 33 draw controls in her sophomore campaign. She served as a senior team captain for the 2020-21 season. In her club lacrosse career, Hensley helped lead 410 West Lacrosse to a 2019 Summer Midwest Cup Championship. She was a multi-sport athlete, also competing in cross country and basketball. A standout in the classroom, Hensley was an AP Scholar Award winner and posted a 4.0 grade-point average over multiple semesters.

Why she chose Butler: It had everything I was looking for. I liked that it was a small school with a big school feel. It was just far enough from home but it is still an easy drive to visit family.
Favorite Lacrosse Memory: On one of our fall ball trips, all the freshmen put on noise canceling headphones and sang a song out loud but no one else could hear the song. It was a lot of fun.
Favorite Place on Campus: Holcomb Gardens
Pets: Lulu and Jessie (chocolate labs)
Hobby: I really like editing photos and videos. I especially like making sports highlight videos. I post everything on the Instagram account @gracehmedia
Famous Relative: Congressman Walter Hensley (great-great-grandfather)
