AS A SENIOR (2008-09): The team's top overallswimmer in 2008-09, leading the way in sprint freestyle, backstrokeand individual medley events...swam to six times that rank amongthe top-10 marks in program history, including a school-record timeof 2:10.80 in the 200 IM...finished with Butler's second-fastestall-time times in both the 100 backstroke (1:01.13) and 200backstroke (2:11.14)...her 50 freestyle time of 24.85 was thethird-best mark in school history, her 100 free time of 53.56 wasthe fourth-fastest and her 200 free time of 1:57.38 was thesixth-best...posted the team's top times of the season in sevenevents, including the 50, 100 and 200 freestyles, the 100 and 200backstrokes and the 200 and 400 individual medleys...finishedsecond on the squad in the 1,000 freestyle, completing the trip in11:37.44...swam the lead leg in all three of the team's topfreestyle relay swims...also swam the third leg of both season-bestmedley relays.
AS A JUNIOR (2007-08): Named to the WinterAcademic All-Horizon League Team...swam to top-five times in the100 and 200 backstrokes and the 400 IM...her time of 1:01.46 in the100 back is the second-fastest in school history...her 200 backtime of 2:12.77 is the fourth-fastest time, while her 4:55.30 inthe 400 IM is the eight-fastest...also led the team withseason-best marks in the 50 free (25.82) and in the 200 IM(2:15.52)...was a member of the relay teams that posted season-besttimes in the 200, 400 and 800 freestyle relays as well as the 200medley relay...finished second on the squad with a 2:05.36 in the200 free and a 11:41.95 in the 1,000 free.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2006-07): One of the topall-around swimmers on the team, recording three individualall-time top-10 times and contributing to three relay all-timetop-five marks...recorded season-best marks in the backstrokeevents, notching a 100 back time of 1:02.31 and a 200 time of2:13.59...scored the second-fastest times in the individual medley,swimming to a 2:15.67 in the 200 IM and a 4:55.37 in the 400...alsoposted top-five marks on the team in the sprint free events,ranking second in the 50 (25.35), fifth in the 100 (57.53) andfourth in the 200 (2:05.26)...was a member of all five of the toprelay teams during the year, swimming the lead leg in the 200 and400 free and medley relays and the anchor leg of the top 800 freerelay.
AS A FRESHMAN (2005-06): Received Most ImprovedAward.....placed 11th in the 100 back (1:02.60), 14th in the 200 IM(2:15.22) and 16th in both the 200 back (2:16.43) and 50 free(25.95) at the Horizon League Championships, which were allseason-best times...posted top-10 school marks in the 100 back(5th), 200 IM (5th), 400 IM (8th) and 200 back (10th).
AT LEXINGTON CATHOLIC: Four-yearletterwinner...part of regional champion team...team finishedsecond and third in the state during her prep careeer...honorstudent. PERSONAL: Born August 11, 1987...daughter of Dr. Williamand Lynne Gates...pharmacy major.
