Molly Martz joined the Butler women's tennis coaching staff in the fall of 2015. A former four-time All-Horizon League player for Butler, Martz will rejoin the program as an assistant coach.

Martz was the Horizon League Newcomer of the Year in 2007 and was named Horizon League Player of the Week on four different occasions. Additionally, she was named team MVP her freshman year after the women’s team took second in the Horizon League Conference tournament.

The Neenah, Wisconsin native played for head coach Jason Suscha, who coached the women’s tennis team for 13 seasons. Martz posted a 65-53 career singles record and a 70-41 career doubles record playing most her matches at the number one position in singles and doubles.

Martz graduated from Butler in 2010 with highest honors and a B.S. in Science, Technology and Society. After her playing career, Martz attended Graduate School at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and eventually returned to Indianapolis with her husband, Jake Martz. She currently works in the Chemistry Department at Butler University.
