Butler University Athletics

Dawn Gentry joins the athletic department as a ticketing assistant. She also serves as the replay operator for Butler home volleyball and women's basketball.

Dawn is a retired teacher from Lawrence Township where she taught for 26 years, finishing her career at Lawrence North H.S. She had been an assistant women's basketball coach at Butler from 1988-1993, helping the Bulldogs to their first WNIT post-season tournament in 1993.

She earned a BS from Augustana College where she was later inducted into her Alma Mater's Hall of Fame for basketball in 2005. Dawn earned an MA from Northern Michigan.

Her husband, Joe, worked in Butler Athletics from 2006-22.  Their children, Nicole '15, and Eric '18 are Butler grads.
