Butler University Athletics

Dr. Jenna Walls, a sports medicine physician with Franciscan Physician Network Sports Medicine Specialists, serves as the head team physician for Butler University Athletics. Dr. Walls received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. After medical school, she completed her residency in Family Medicine at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, followed by a Sports Medicine fellowship with St. Vincent Sports Performance. Her clinical specialties include the non-operative management of musculoskeletal injuries, concussion management, and regenerative medicine practices. She encourages her patients to play an active role in formulating their treatment plan and is thrilled to collaborate with Butler University's outstanding sports medicine staff in providing the best possible care for our athletes.

Dr. Walls's experiences as an injured student-athlete and a student athletic trainer are what drove her desire to become a sports medicine physician.  In this role, she takes great pride in her ability to care for a wide range of patients, from school-aged and collegiate athletes to professional athletes to "weekend warriors." Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Walls serves on the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee for the Indiana High School Athletic Association and is the physician member of the Indiana Athletic Trainers Licensing Board. In her spare time, Dr. Walls enjoys staying active, reading, camping, and spending time with her German Shepherds.
