Jared Thomas joined Butler Athletics in June of 2025 in the role of Director of Player Personnel & Roster Management. In this newly created position, Thomas will provide high-level support to both Butler's men’s and women’s basketball programs as it relates to roster management and student-athlete contract deliverables. In addition, he serves as Butler's point of contact for all matters related to Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).Â

Thomas is a licensed attorney and a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He earned his law degree from Indiana University. He most recently served as Executive Director for Bleeding Blue for Good and Storrs Central, the NIL collectives at the University of Connecticut, following his time as Director of Operations & Engagement for Purdue University’s NIL entity, Boilermaker Alliance. After his active duty in the U.S. Army, Thomas was a U.S. congressional candidate before starting his career in athletics at Purdue in the compliance department.
