Nick Tabacca

Nick Tabacca, who served three seasons on the football staff atDefiance College, was named an assistant football coach at ButlerUniversity in July of 2010. He is in his second year with theBulldogs. 

He took over as offensive line coach for the Bulldogs,filling the spot of departed coach and offensive coordinator FrankSmith.  Tabacca was the offensive line coach for all three ofhis seasons at Defiance, and he spent the past two campaigns asoffensive coordinator for the Yellow Jackets.  He directed anoffensive unit that led the Heartland Collegiate AthleticConference in fewest turnovers for two straight years.  Duringhis three seasons at the Ohio school, Defiance had sevenAll-Conference offensive linemen.  Tabacca was a four-yearletterwinner and three-year starter as an offensive lineman at BallState.  He was a two-time Mid-American Conference All-Academicselection and a team captain as a senior.  He began hiscoaching career as a graduate assistant coach at Ball State in2005, before accepting the position at Defiance in 2007. 

Tabacca received a B.S. degree from Ball State in 2004 andearned his masters degree in business administration from BallState in 2006.  He and his wife, Alyssa, are parents of threechildren, Sophia, Lucas and Lily.
