Logan Leads the BIG EAST in Kills
Anna Logan is one of the top offensive talents in the country and she has the numbers to prove it. Heading into Thursday's match, Logan ranks fourth in the NCAA in both total kills (464) and points (526). The focal point of the BU offensive attack is hitting .261 on the year to average 4.46 kills per set.
Ferguson Moves to 6th All-Time in Career Assists
Makayla Ferguson has been an impact player at Butler since her rookie season (2014) when she earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Year honors. Now in her junior season, the standout setter has moved to sixth place all-time at Butler in the career assists category with 3,092. The Martinsville, Ind. native has surpassed 50 assists two different times this season with 58 vs. Gonzaga (5-sets) and 52 (four-sets) against Loyola. She currently ranks sixth in the NCAA with 960 total assists.
Triple Threat
The Bulldogs have three players with 20 service aces on the same team for the first time since the 2012 season.

Logan Lands ON BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Again the focal point of the Bulldogs' offense, Logan averaged 5.58 points, 4.83 kills, 2.50 digs and 1.17 blocks per set – doing all she could do for Butler in a 1-1 week with a win over St. John's and a loss to Seton Hall.
Killin' It
Sophomore
Anna Logan leads the team with 464 kills. She is now 12 kills shy of placing her name in the single-season top ten list of the Butler record book. If Logan averages 15 kills per match over Butler's final seven regular season games she will move to second all-time.
Butler vs. Xavier Recap (Oct. 8)
The Bulldogs took a tough 3-2 loss to Xavier 20-25, 25-22, 25-13, 24-26, 15-12.
Anna Logan led the team with 21 kills and 13 digs. She hit at a .340 clip, by committing just five errors on 47 swings.
Whitney Beck was also heavily involved in the offense with 18 kills while adding 18 digs. The team leader in digs was once again
Taylor Takeda who finished the contest with 23. Butler used two setters against the Musketeers with
Makayla Ferguson earning the start. Ferguson filled up the box score with 39 assists, nine digs, five kills and a block.
Maddie Freiwald also saw some action, coming up with 19 assists. The Musketeers were led by Abbey Bessler and Sofia Peterson. Bessler led all players with 22 kills. Peterson was second on the team with 17.
Beck Doubles Up
Whitney Beck has posted a double-double in four of Butler's previous six matches. The talented outside hitter is second on the team with 268 kills. She set season-high totals in the first meeting against Xavier in kills (18), attempts (47), and points (19.5). Her 18 digs against the Musketeers is her second highest total of the year.
Tournament Preview
The 2016 BIG EAST Women's Volleyball Tournament will be hosted by Butler at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The top four teams in the conference standings will head to Indianapolis for the right to represent the BIG EAST in the NCAA Tournament field. Semifinals are slated for Friday, Nov. 25 with the No. 1 seed facing the No. 4 seed at 12:30 PM. The No. 2 seed will face the No. 3 seed at 3 PM. The championship match will follow on Saturday, Nov. 26 on FS2. Game time is set for 2 PM.

Butler has won the first set in 15 of their 16 wins this season.
Up Next
The month of November gets underway with four-straight road games for Butler. The Bulldogs will play at Creighton next Friday and end the weekend with a match at Providence. The match against the Bluejays will begin at 7 PM while the Sunday matinee will start at 1 PM.
