All-Time Series
Green Bay holds a commanding 40-7 lead over Butler in the all-time series. These two clubs clashed just one year ago with the Phoenix claiming a 55-46 victory at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The game reunited a rivalry that began during the 1981-82 season. BU won the first tilt 61-56 in the final game of the MAIAW Regional held in Chicago, Ill. Green Bay would join the MCC in 1994-95 and would face Butler two times a year until BU left the Horizon League in 2011-12. Butler's last win over Green Bay came during the 1998-99 season during the first meeting. BU won at Hinkle 85-80.

Keys To The Game
Butler will need to keep an eye on Jessica Lindstrom at all times. Lindstrom is a three-time Horizon League Player of the Week honoree that scored a career-high 24 points at Marquette to go along with 12 rebounds. She followed that effort with 14 points and 13 rebounds in the win over South Dakota State. Wisconsin was able to take Lindstrom away, limiting the 6-1 forward to just three points on 1-of-7 shooting.

Homecoming
Shae Brey will return to her home state of Wisconsin when the Phoenix host the Bulldogs. Brey grew up three hours west of Green Bay's campus and attended Eau Claire Regis H.S.

Youth vs. Experience
Butler will start a mix of freshmen and sophomores on Tuesday night while the Phoenix will roll out a starting lineup full of upperclassmen. The Bulldogs don't have a single senior on the team and only one of their three juniors will be active. Sydney Buck remains sidelined with an injury (foot) and Whitney Jennings is out due to the NCAA transfer rule.

Buford Coming Up Big
Taylor Buford came off the bench against Indiana State to score a season-high 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Buford hit two 3-point field goals while adding four rebounds and a blocked shot in 21 minutes of action. Buford is averaging 11.5 points per game over Butler's last two outings. She's made eight of her last 11 attempts including 5-of-6 from 3-point range.

Season-High Totals
The Bulldogs were firing on cylinders against Indiana State allowing the team to post season-high totals in multiple statistical categories. BU set new season-high totals with 42 rebounds, 17 assists and seven blocked shots. 66 points was their second-highest total of the year. BU made 24 field goals, shooting 47 percent (2nd-highest totals of the year).

Schickel Eyes Single-Season Rebound Record
Tori Schickel is currently on pace to break the Butler school record for most rebounds recorded in a single-season. Through 10 games, Schickel has pulled down 101 rebounds. The school record of 302 was set by Beth Piepenbrink during the 1981-82 season.

BIG EAST Rankings
Tori Schickel finds herself ranked in the top-five of multiple BIG EAST statistical categories. Schickel ranks 1st in rebounds (10.1) 2nd in minutes (34.4), 3rd in steals (2.7), and 3rd in field goal percentage (54.5). A closer breakdown shows Schickel leading the league in offensive rebounds (4.7) and third in defensive boards (5.4). She also ranks inside the top-ten in scoring (14.4).

National Rankings
Butler ranks 39th in the NCAA with 102 steals. Tori Schickel ranks 23rd in total rebounds, 35th in double-doubles, 35th in steals (25), 54th in FG% and 87th in minutes played.

Common Foes
Butler and Green Bay each played Bradley and Wisconsin this season in non-conference action. BU used a last second field goal from Tori Schickel to earn a 58-56 home win vs. the Braves while Green Bay traveled to Bradley to defeat the Braves 68-43. The Phoenix shot 50 percent at Bradley and were led in scoring by Allie LeClaire who posted 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting. Butler fell at Wisconsin 60-55, and the Badgers recently knocked off Green Bay 54-53. Michelle Weaver was the leading scorer at the Kohl Center with 20. Mehryn Kraker led the way for the Phoenix in a losing effort with 18 points.

Up To The Challenge
Green Bay was recognized as the NCAA Team of the Week on Dec. 13 after picking up wins over Marquette and South Dakota State. The only blemish on Green Bay's schedule before the setback at Wisconsin came at Notre Dame where the previously top-ranked Irish held off the Phoenix 71-67. Additional high profile wins for Green Bay came against Chattanooga and Belmont, two programs that reached the NCAA Tournament a year ago.

Fast Starts
Butler has been a good first quarter team, outscoring the opposition 146-127 over the opening 10 minutes. Fast starts have helped BU reach that overall total. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 7-0 lead vs. Ball State, a 7-0 lead vs. USF and a 12-0 start at TCU. UCF flipped the script on BU to open the game with a 7-0 lead, but the Bulldogs posted fast starts at Wisconsin (7-1), vs. Fort Wayne (17-4) and vs. Bradley (18-2). Butler saw their offense stall at Arkansas, allowing the Razorbacks to score the first 10 points of the game. They recovered nicely however by scoring the first 15 points of the game at Hinkle Fieldhouse against Indiana State on Dec. 11.

Spolyar Can Score
Kristen Spolyar set the Indiana single-season high school scoring record during her senior year at Lebanon with 1,031 points. That effort helped her finish third all-time in the state of Indiana with 2,882 career points. The newcomer has made an immediate impact at Butler by earning BIG EAST Freshman of the Week accolades two times at the start of the season. Spolyar averaged 17.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game over her first four collegiate games, shooting 47 percent from the field and 30 percent from 3-point range.

Watch The Bulldogs
All conference games will be picked up by the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN), a branded channel on the FOX Sports GO app. The Bulldogs will play on a national stage two times this season. Butler will host Seton Hall on FS1 to bring in the New Year on Jan. 2. Two weeks later, BU will play at Marquette on Jan. 15 giving BU a second game on FS1.

Up Next
Butler will open conference play with a pair of road games at Creighton and at Providence. The game against the Bluejays will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at DJ Sokol Arena. The road trip will end at Providence on Friday, Dec. 30.
