Butler dropped a 5-2 decision at Bradley Saturday afternoon in Peoria, Ill. The Bulldogs got wins at the top two singles spots as Bailey Padgett and Rachel Sutton continued strong spring campaigns.

On the first court, Padgett and Bradley's Ariel Dechter extended the match to a third-set tiebreaker, which Padgett won 7-3 to take the match 6-3, 4-6, 7-6.

Sutton also needed three sets on the second court to pull out her win, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Angela Avgerinos and Carla O'Byrne both pushed their matches to third sets before falling.

Butler is now 3-8 on the season.

The Bulldogs return to action with matches at Toledo (March 3) and Cleveland State (March 4).
