The Bulldogs finished off play at the 2017 Mizzou Tournament with an 8-0 loss to the host Missouri Tigers. Missouri is ranked No. 24 nationally. The result came in five innings.

Butler went 2-3 in the Missouri event, with two of those losses coming at the hands of nationally-ranked Oregon and Missouri. The Bulldogs are 6-9 on the season.

The Bulldogs drew three walks and had a batter hit by pitch, but were shut out by the Tigers' Danielle Baumgartner.

Missouri had four home runs in the contest. Gabbi Schnaiter (3-5) took the loss for Butler. Kacey Starwalt came on in relief.

Butler begins its annual Spring Break trip with a pair of games Wednesday in Tampa, Fla. The Bulldogs will open the week with games against Central Michigan and Fort Wayne. They will play seven games while in Florida.
