All-Time Series
Butler is 1-2 all-time against the Michigan Wolverines. These two programs last met during the 1995 season in the NIVC Tournament, held in Kansas City, Mo. The Bulldogs swept the Wolverines that day 3-0. BU holds the upper hand against Green Bay in the all-time series. The Bulldogs are 33-8 against the Phoenix, with their last win coming in game one of the 2014 Chippewa Invite. The old Horizon League foes will renew an old rivalry in Ann Arbor while a new rivalry will also start that afternoon with Butler facing New Hampshire for the first time.

Ferguson Lands on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
Ferguson had a great weekend for Butler (3-1) with 10.29 assists, 2.53 digs and 1.59 points per set. Against Oakland, Ferguson had a triple double with 10 kills, 46 assists and 14 digs. She was named the Bulldog Brawl Tournament MVP.

Klitzing Ties BU History
Freshman middle blocker Rachel Klitzing recorded 14 blocks against Robert Morris on Saturday, Aug. 26. 14 total blocks placed Klitzing just three shy of the BU school record, but her 12 block assists against the Colonials ties the BU single-match record. She tied Chris DeWell, who recorded 12 block assists back during the 1984 season against IUPUI.

Bulldogs Reach 20.5 blocks vs. Robert Morris
Butler ended the five-set match against Robert Morris with 20.5 team blocks, tying the fourth-highest total in school history. The school record of 23 was recorded against Valparaiso back during the 2011 season.

Beck Eyes Breakout Season
Outside hitter Whitney Beck recorded a double-double in all four matches over opening weekend. The 6-0 redshirt junior led the team in kills (65), was second on the team in digs (61) and ranked third in blocks (15).

Gregory Hits .500 vs. Stony Brook
Outside hitter Brooke Gregory started the 2017 season off with a bang, by recording 14 kills on just 24 attempts. The 6-4 sophomore only made two errors in the season opener, therefore posting a .500 attack percentage in Butler's 3-0 sweep.

Takeda Takes Control Against Oakland
BU libero Taylor Takeda finished the Oakland game with a season-high 29 digs to go along with four service aces. She averaged 4.29 digs per set over opening weekend, leading the team in that category in all three victories.

Up Next
Butler will participate in the 2017 Golden Flashes Classic next weekend, Sept. 8-9. They will take the court against Kent State on Friday night at 6 PM. The following day they will face College of Charleston at 3 PM.
