INDIANAPOLIS – Villanova kept their postseason hopes alive with a 3-0 home win vs. Butler (25-17, 25-21, 25-23). The Bulldogs were led by
Natalie Ravenell who notched a team-high 10 kills.
Ravenell,
Brooke Gregory,
Bri Lilly and
Melody Davidson would provide the offense for Butler in the setback. Gregory came up with eight kills and the only two service aces of the match for BU. Lilly and Davidson would each end the night with six kills. Davidson was the team leader in blocks with four.
Butler used a new setter against the Wildcats with
Maria Schorr seeing extended playing time. She ended the match with 25 assists and seven digs. The team dig leader was
Elizabeth LaBue with 12.
Nova was led by Amanda Pedersen-Henry and Darcy Wolf. Emma Decker posted a double-double with 32 assists and 10 digs. The Wildcat dig leader was Regan Lough with 19.
Butler will end the 2018 season tomorrow with a 5 PM match at Georgetown.
