The Butler Lacrosse team will host Louisville Thursday at Varsity Field. The Bulldogs are 0-1 on the season with an opening loss to Michigan.
Freshmen
Morgan Paige and
Karina Latsko lead the Bulldogs with one goal each in the first game of their college career. Both goals were scored off of a free position attempt.
Mary Davide and goalkeeper
Amanda Rumsey lead the team in ground balls, each picking up three against Michigan. The Bulldogs picked up 14 total ground balls and caused seven turnovers in their season opener.
The Bulldogs used
Haley Rayburn and
Amanda Rumsey in goal against Michigan. Rumsey saw the majority of the action, making five saves in her 47 minutes of play. Rayburn had three saves in 12 minutes of play.
Louisville is 2-1 on the season with a 15-9 win at Cincinnati on Feb. 9 and a 16-8 win against Marquette on Feb. 11. The Cardinals fell to Denver on Feb. 17, 12-5.
Tessa Chad leads Louisville with nine goals and two assists on the season. She has also picked up eight ground balls. Julia Wood, Caroline Blalock and Jillian Balog each add five goals and one assist.
Lexie Ball has been in goal every game for Louisville, posting a .463 save percentage. She has 25 total saves on the season.
