The Butler lacrosse team fell to Campbell 20-9 Tuesday afternoon. The Bulldogs move to 0-5 on the season, the Camels are now 2-4 with the victory.
The Bulldogs were within four of the Camels at the half but couldn't overcome the 9-5 halftime deficit. FreshmanÂ
Ashley Guerra led the Bulldogs with a hat trick, her first of the season.
Morgan Paige added two goals for the Bulldog attack.

Ashley Steffes,
Elizabeth Davide, and
Isabella Mandli each had one goal.
Campbell jumped out to a 6-0 lead early in the first half before the Bulldog offense would strike. Steffes got the offense rolling for Butler, scoring her first goal of the season.
With five minutes to play in the first half, Mandli sparked a 3-0 Bulldog run, scoring off an assist from Guerra. Goals by Guerra and Davide quickly followed, assisted by Paige and Hallenbeck, respectively.
Guerra scored her second goal of the game off an assist by Steffes to give the Bulldogs five to end the half.
To start the second half, Paige scored off a free position attempt to bring the Bulldogs within three. Campbell quickly answered to take the lead back up to four until Hallenbeck scored her eighth goal of the season off an assist from
Carly Hewitt. With 20 minutes to play, Campbell led 10-7.
From there, the Camels went on a 3-0 run until Guerra scored her third goal of the game off an assist by Hallenbeck. Paige scored the final goal for the Bulldogs off a free position attempt.
Melissa Placek led the attack for Campbell with six goals. Annie Pazulski added three goals and six assists. Goalkeeper Sydney Etheridge is now 1-0 on the season.
The Bulldogs return to action with three games on the road against Radford, Liberty, and Howard.
