The Butler lacrosse team plays their season finale Saturday, traveling to Gainesville, Fla. to take on the No. 9 Gators. The Bulldogs enter Saturday's match 1-15, 0-8 BIG EAST.
Haley Hallenbeck has taken over as the Bulldogs' leading scorer, scoring two goals in each of the last two games, to bring her season total to 21. Freshman
Ashley Guerra leads the team in total points with 31. She has tallied 20 goals and dished out a team-high 11 assists.
Defensively,
Carly Hewitt and
Mary Davide lead the Bulldogs. Hewitt and Davide are tied with a team-high 28 ground balls. Hewitt also leads the team in caused turnovers with 19.
Christina Soderquist's 76 draw controls lead the team. The sophomore also has 18 goals.
Goalkeepers
Amanda Rumsey and
Haley Rayburn have split time in goal for Butler. Rumsey (0-8) has made 76 saves with a .326 save percentage. Rayburn (1-7) has posted a 16.66 save percentage with 102 saves.

Scouting Florida
The Florida Gators (13-3, 8-0 BIG EAST) beat Denver last weekend to clinch their fourth straight BIG EAST regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming BIG EAST tournament. The Gators have won 30 consecutive against BIG EAST opponents dating back to the 2015 season.
Three Gators have over 40 goals this season. Shayna Pirreca (46) leads the in points with 64. The attacker has also tallied 18 assists. Lindsey Ronbeck (45) and Sydney Pirreca (42) round out the top scoring threats for Florida.
Defender Cara Trombetta is a strength for the Florida defense. Her 30 caused turnovers are a team-high and the sophomore has also picked up 31 ground balls. Aniya Flanigan is another solid defender for the Gators. The senior has caused 16 turnovers and picked up 36 ground balls.
Three goalies have seen time in the cage for Florida, but Haley Hicklen (13-3) has been the primary keeper. She enters Saturday's game with a 10.76 goals against average and a .483 save percentage.
