The Butler lacrosse team fell in their final game of the season to No. 6 Florida Saturday afternoon, 23-3. The Bulldogs end the 2018 season 1-16, 0-9.  With the win, Florida clinches the BIG EAST title for the fourth consecutive year.

The Gators took a 15-goal lead before Madeline Hooks scored off an assist from Ashley Guerra. That was the Bulldogs' only goal of the half as the Gators took a 15-1 lead into halftime. Ashley Lizzi and Guerra scored Butler's two goals in the second half.

Shayna Pierreca and Grace Haus led the Gators with three goals each. Hayley Hicklen received the win in goal for Florida while Amanda Rumsey received the loss for the Bulldogs.

Florida will host the BIG EAST tournament beginning on May 3.
