INDIANAPOLIS – The Bulldogs recorded a 3-0 victory against Chicago State on Saturday night in exhibition play (25-23, 25-21, 25-21). Head Coach
Sharon Clark used the entire roster in the sweep.
Butler hit .264 as a team, with 46 kills coming off 110 swings.
Natalie Ravenell,
Bri Lilly and
Brooke Gregory were the team leaders in kills.
Three different setters saw action on Saturday night.
Maddie Freiwald,
Megan Ramseyer and
Maria Schorr all ended the match with a double figure assist total.
Defensively, BU was led by
Emma Milstead in digs and
Melody Davidson went down as the team leader in blocks. BU ended the night with 10 total team blocks. The Cougars only hit .095.
The start of the 2018 regular season will get underway next week with the Bulldogs competing in the Panther Challenge. Pitt will host BU, Pepperdine and Cal Poly over the two-day tournament.
