The Bulldogs lost their second road game of the week, falling at TCU 6-1. Butler now sits at 6-3-0, TCU moves to 7-1-1. The Horned Frogs used a five-goal second half to push past the Bulldogs.
The first half began as a defensive battle for the Bulldogs as TCU had many opportunities on goal and outshot Butler 10 to three. The Horned Frogs broke through in the 21
st minute as Kayla Hill shot the ball from the top of the box past 
Hannah Luedtke. Luedtke finished the first half with two saves.
The best chance for the Bulldogs came in the 25
th minute off a shot taken by 
Elena Gutlove. Katie Lund, goalkeeper for TCU, was able to make the save. She ended the half with two saves. TCU would take the 1-0 lead into the half.
TCU came out aggressive in the second half, putting four more in the back of the net against 
Leonie Doege, before the Bulldogs scored. Two goals were scored by Hill, who ended the day with a hat trick. Maddy Warren and Messiah Bright also tallied a goal.
Butler was awarded a penalty kick in the 61
st minute that 
Annika Schmidt finished to put the Bulldogs on the board with 30 minutes to play. TCU answered with a penalty kick goal of their own in the 73
rd minute to push the lead to 6-1 in the closing minutes.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Sunday, Sept. 23, opening BIG EAST play at Marquette. Kickoff is set for 2PM and the match will stream live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
