The Bulldogs took home a win against Marian this afternoon, topping the Knights 5-2. The match was played at the Butler outdoor tennis courts in Indianapolis.

Butler clinched the doubles point, taking two out of three. Sara Linn and Emily Neal posted a 6-1 victory over the pair from Marian in the No. 1 spot. Lauryn Padgett and Kendal Wilby edged Marian 6-1 in the No. 3 spot.

The Bulldogs took home singles wins in the No. 1, No. 2, No. 4, and No. 5 spots this afternoon. Emily Neal and Nina Bertino both posted straight set victories over Marian in the No. 1 and No. 2 spot, respectively. Sara Linn clinched the match in the No. 4 spot, winning 6-4, 6-2. Lauren Marx also posted a singles win in the No. 5 spot, 6-1, 6-3.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Oct. 12 at the ITA Regionals in Chattanooga, Tenn.
