The Butler women's tennis team fell at Cincinnati Friday night, 7-0. The Bulldogs continue the young season tomorrow (Jan. 19) at Purdue.
The Cincinnati doubles teams swept the Bulldog pairs of
Emily Neal and
Sara Linn 6-0,
Sarah Monesmith and
Caroline McAuley 6-0, and
Kendal Wilby and
Carla O'Byrne 6-1.
In the No. 1 singles spot, Neal fell to Cincinnati's Antonella 6-2, 6-3. In the No. 3 singles spot,
Nina Bertino played a solid second set against Caroline Morton, but ultimately fell 6-0, 6-4.
Monesmith faced Cincinnati's Ioana Guna in the No. 2 spot, falling 6-1, 6-2. Linn, in the No. 3 spot, fell to Alexia Coutino 6-3, 6-1. McAuley in the No. 6 spot fell 6-2, 6-2.
