The Bulldogs closed out their weekend in Chicago, Ill. taking on DePaul Sunday afternoon. The Blue Demons defeated the Bulldogs 7-0, moving the Blue Demons to 2-2. Butler falls to 2-5.

DePaul took the doubles point, topping Emily Neal and Sara Linn 6-2 and Sarah Monesmith and Lauryn Padgett 6-4. Kendal Wilby and Caroline McAuley battled in the No. 3 spot, but fell 7-6.

The Blue Demons clinched the match with wins in No. 1, No. 6, No. 2, and No. 4 singles. Sarah Monesmith challenged Aspasia Avgeri but ultimately fell 7-5, 6-2.

The Bulldogs host their first home match of 2019 on Feb. 2, taking on Milwaukee at 10 a.m. The following day, Butler travels to Bloomington to take on Indiana at 5 p.m.
