PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Butler ended the weekend with a 3-1 victory at Providence (25-20, 24-26, 25-18, 25-16). The 'Dawgs improved their overall record to 8-12. They are 5-3 against conference foes.
Butler hit .233 as a team. They were led up the middle by
Brooke Gregory. The senior collected 15 kills on just 23 attempts (.565).
Anna Logan led all Bulldogs with 16 kills and
Shay Horn was in the box score with 12.
Maria Schorr set up the offense with a team-best 43 assists. The defense got a lift from libero
Elizabeth LaBue and her career-high 31 digs.
BU won the battle at the net by posting 10 team blocks and limiting Providence to a .091 hitting percentage.
Butler will return to action next weekend with matches against Villanova and Georgetown. Alumni Night will be on Friday against the Wildcats. Sunday's match vs. Georgetown is Homecoming.
