#14 Creighton Wins at @ButlerVB 3-0

INDIANAPOLIS – The Creighton Bluejays recorded a 3-0 win at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Sunday afternoon with a sweep over Butler (25-21, 25-22, 25-17). The Bulldogs will head into the final weekend of the regular season with a 9-7 record against BIG EAST foes.

How It Happened
Creighton broke an 18-18 tie in the first set to claim a 25-21 win. Megan Sheridan tied the game at 18-18 with a kill off a feed from Megan Ramseyer. Creighton responded by scoring four of the next five points to build a 22-19 advantage. Madelyn Cole would get Creighton to set point and an attack error would end the frame to give the visitors a lead.

Set two was tight at the start with the teams coming together at 10-10. Creighton would score the next two points and never give the lead back. BU made some noise at 19-17, but couldn't turn the corner to tie the match. Creighton would head into the break 2-0 after a 25-22 victory.

A 6-0 scoring run in the third set would be the story as Creighton took a slim one point advantage and turned that into a 15-8 lead. Brittany Witt had the hot hand with the serve that allowed the scoring spree. Witt led Creighton with 19 total digs. The offense was provided by Keeley Davis and her match-high 16 kills.
