After posting their first-ever home win last Friday, the Bulldogs (1-3) return to the field to take on St. Bonaventure on Friday, March 1. First draw is set for 3 p.m. and the game will stream live on the Butler Bulldog Facebook page.
Butler posted a 1-1 weekend, defeating Kent State 13-10 last Friday in the first home win in program history. Central Michigan made the trip to Indianapolis on Sunday in a quick turnaround for the Bulldogs. The Chippewas came away with a 16-6 victory.
Ashley Guerra led the Bulldog attack this past weekend with 10 total points on five goals and five assists, earning her BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll honors. In the Bulldogs' win over Kent State, Guerra notched three goals and four assists. She was also credited with the game-winner. Against Central Michigan, the sophomore posted two goals and an assist. Guerra leads Butler in points (18), goals (12), and assists (6).
Haley Hallenbeck and
Sydney Pattison also posted hat tricks for the Bulldogs against Kent State.
Amanda Rumsey received the win, making nine saves and marking her first career win in a Butler uniform. The sophomore has made 34 saves in 197 minutes played this season.
Scouting St. Bonaventure
The Bonnies are 0-2 on the season, falling to Lafayette, 18-1, on Feb. 10 and Niagara, 17-2, on Feb. 15. Ashley Easterday, Olivia MacDonald, and Rylee Arnold have St. Bonaventure's three goals. In the cage, Savannah Clark has played all 120 minutes, making 18 saves.
The Bonnies return all four of their top goal scorers from an 0-17 2018 season, led by senior Arnold who anchored the offense with 26 goals. Easterday and Julia Davidson return for their sophomore season with an extra year of experience after scoring 20 and 11 goals respectively, during their debut seasons.Â
