Hoosier Hills Results (PDF)
After a snowstorm forced a change of plans in Seattle, all Butler athletes competed in their events on Friday at the Husky Classic and Hoosier Hills.

Even though it was cold and snowy outside in Washington, the Bulldogs continued their hot start to 2019. Â

Euan Makepeace in the 5000-meter run finished second in his section and 21st overall in the event with a time of 14:01.72. This time puts him fourth all-time in the Butler record book for the indoor event.Â

Johnny Leverenz ran his best mile of the season at 4:06.81. He finished twenty-second overall. Sam Worley of Texas finished first running under four minutes at 3:57.98.

Josephine Thestrup was just .22 seconds behind her personal best in the mile as she finished in 4:45.13. She finished thirteenth overall and fourth in section three. Nikki Hiltz won the event at 4:31.42. The top collegian time went to Alexis Fuller of Boise State who ran a 4:36.83

Butler had another strong week in Bloomington as they competed at Indiana for the third time this season. On the track, the Bulldogs were led by sophomore
Rebecca Collester who ran a personal best in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash with times of 8.02 and 25.70, respectively. That 200-meter time won her section and finished seventh overall as Lakeia Hill from Tennessee State won the event with a time of 24.62.

The women also had a strong performance in the 400 meters as the Bulldogs had three runners finish within .72 seconds of each other.Â
Lily Hess finished fifth overall with a time of 1:00.25, followed by teammate
Madeline Miller with a time of 1:00.52. Finishing eighth was
Angela Neddeau at 1:00.97. The winner of the 400-meter dash was also from Tennessee State as Zion White finished in 57.63.

Kara Stark finished sixth overall in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:25.69. Sarah Schmitt of Indiana University won with a time of 9:37.73

In the men's mile, redshirt junior
Eric Baugh finished second overall running a 4:09.27, just behind first-place finisher Dustin Horter from Indiana University

Jacob Uhl continued his strong sophomore campaign as he ran a 22.51 in the men's 200-meter dash finishing eighth. Teammate
Colton Haymon finished tenth overall as crossed the finish at the 22.92 mark. The winner of the race, Tyreke Sapp, ran a 21.38 as he competed for Tennessee Martin.

In the field,
Sam Robinson jumped his way to a career day as he set a season best in the long jump and a personal best in the high jump. His long jump of 6.80m (22'3.75") was good for third overall in the event. The high jump mark of 2.00m (6'6.75") was fourth overall.

Wade Walder set a personal best in the pole vault as he finished fifth with a mark of 4.58m (15'0.25"). Event winner, Drew Volz, cleared a mark of 5.50m (18'0.5") competing unattached.

Niki Ezeh highlighted the field events for the women. She finished seventh in shot put with a personal best of 13.73m (45'0.5"). Khayla Dawson won with a mark of 17.18m (56'4.50") competing for Indiana.

The Bulldogs will once again compete in two meets next weekend with part of the team heading to Charleston, Ill. to compete in the Friday Night Special. While the other part of the team heads back to South Bend to compete in the Alex Wilson Invitational.
