The Butler Women's tennis team dropped two contests on their road trip to the northeast this Saturday. After a competitive match with St. Johns on Thursday, the Bulldogs travelled to Queens College to take on the Knights.

In doubles play, Butler's Emily Neal and Sarah Linn got the win in the first pairing, but the Bulldogs would surrender the doubles point after losses in the second and third pairings.

The Bulldogs tried to rally back in the singles portion of the match, with Emily Neal and Nina Bertino defeating their opponents in three sets on courts one and three, respectively. The Dawgs would drop the match after Queens College captured victories on courts two, four and five. Lauren Marx collected the late victory in the sixth matchup 6-1, 2-6, 6-2.

Later that night, the Bulldogs headed across the Hudson River to New Jersey for a BIG EAST match against the Seton Hall Pirates. The Bulldogs dropped the second match of the day 7-0 to their conference foe. Emily Neal's effort at the one spot came up short after she lost the tiebreaking third set 10-5.

The Bulldogs are back in action next weekend when they take on Providence and Marquette in a pair of BIG EAST competitions.
