The Bulldogs took on another BIG EAST foe Sunday afternoon, falling 7-0 to Marquette. This marks a 1-1 weekend for Butler, who took down Providence, 4-3, on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles took the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and 3 courts. To clinch the match, Marquette defeated the Bulldogs at the No. 3, 1, 2 singles spots, respectively.
Lauren Marx battled at the No. 6 court, winning the first set, but ultimately falling in the final two sets.
The Bulldogs wrap up the regular season on April 12 hosting the Xavier Musketeers. Butler will compete in the BIG EAST Tournament the following weekend, April 18-21, in Cayce, S.C.
