In their final tune-up before the BIG EAST Tournament, Butler dropped a 7-0 decision to Xavier. The Bulldogs finish the regular season with an 11-13 overall record, including a 1-6 BIG EAST mark.
 
In her final match at the Butler Bubble, senior Carla O'Byrne battled in the first doubles pairing with first-year Sara Linn. The duo dropped the set 6-2 after a well-fought match.
 
Linn put together another solid performance on the first singles court. Linn battled with Xavier's Ahmeir Kyle in the first set before falling behind 6-3. Linn tried to rally in the second set, but fell to Kyle 6-1.
 
O'Byrne came back firing in singles play in the sixth and final pairing. O'Byrne put together six total games, but dropped the match in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.
 
The Bulldogs have a full week to prepare for the BIG EAST Tournament, which will be held in South Carolina next weekend.  Pairings and other match information will be updated on ButlerSports.com.
